Spiral winding tubes in electronics are used for electrical insulation, mechanical protection and bundling of cables, wires and connections. They are used in particular in motors, generators and transformers, where special insulating materials such as Nomex®, Kapton®, Mylar® or Mica are usually used for high temperatures and voltages in order to prevent interference and to increase service life.
