Mylar® end caps, shrinkable, class B (130 °C)

0,00

Cost-effective insulation of wire ends in lacquer-impregnated electric motors of temperature class B

  • Reliable fixation due to shrinkage of 35%.
  • Inner diameter from 2.00 mm to 60
  • available with wall thicknesses from 0.100 mm to 0.350 mm.
  • Rapid shrinkage within 10
  • Excellent dielectric strength and impact resistance.
  • Made of six layers of DuPont™ Mylar® film.
  • The film is UL
  • Resistant to most oils and refrigerants.
  • Suitable for applications in temperature class B at continuous temperatures of 130°C.
  • Available with spot-welded or ultrasonically welded ends.

The Mylar® end caps insulate and secure electrical connections in electric motors, refrigeration systems and other applications. They have a high dielectric strength and impact resistance and are also suitable for demanding applications. By attaching end caps, short circuits caused by residual wire can be avoided. The shrinkable end caps are mainly used as secondary insulation in windings of encapsulated and open electric motors.
